Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Game Modes
Check the mode before choosing a route, spawn or squad task. The launch build has four named modes: Warfare, Offensive, Conquest and Domination.
Quick answer
Warfare is a five-sector push-and-pull. Offensive is a sequential attack and defence battle. Conquest opens several objectives at once and makes team Morale matter. Domination starts around central objectives and turns control into access to the enemy HQ.
The four launch modes
| Mode | Match structure | First squad question |
|---|---|---|
| Warfare | Two teams fight across five sectors in a tug of war. | Which sector must we hold before extending? |
| Offensive | Attackers progress through active objectives while defenders delay them. | Are we attacking the active point or securing the next defence line? |
| Conquest | Several objectives can be contested at once; Morale pressure matters. | Which objective improves the team position without wasting Morale? |
| Domination | Teams contest central objectives to unlock the enemy HQ. | Which central point restores or preserves majority control? |
Use the mode to make a squad plan
- Read the active objectives and the team’s current position.
- Assign a simple task: hold, reinforce, scout, transport or attack.
- Choose a spawn and route that support that task.
- Reassess after an objective changes; a good route in one mode may be irrelevant in another.
Do not import old rules blindly
