Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Patch 1.3 Notes
Patch 1.3 went live on all platforms on August 28, 2026. It changes tunnel balance and adds fixes across stability, controls, vehicles, VOIP transitions, community servers and every launch map.
What changed?
The patch doubles the Tunnel placement cooldown from 5 to 10 minutes and prevents travel to a hot Tunnel. It also improves tunnel and Barracks performance, lets tank drivers change gear without throttle, and includes more than 100 map fixes.
Player-facing highlights
Cooldown is 10 minutes; hot destinations cannot be used for travel.
Tank gear changes no longer require throttle. Keybinding, inversion and helicopter-control fixes are included.
VOIP no longer stutters or cuts out at the KIA screen; community-server VIP and Map Shuffle fixes are included.
Stability, visuals and AMD
Patch 1.3 improves performance while travelling through Tunnels and in the Barracks. Console image-quality work continues, with adjustments intended to improve stability, shadows and noise in indirectly lit scenes.
The developer says turning off gore will likely reduce the frequency of crashes for affected AMD GPU players. This is a workaround while the wider crash investigation continues.
What is still in progress
- The distorted or robotic Proximity Chat fix is identified and under larger-scale testing, with Patch 1.4 targeted.
- The tank-gunner inversion setting is a Patch 1.3 known issue, targeted for Patch 1.4.
- Further faction balancing, optimisation and console image-quality work remain in development.
